The Ortacavoli farmhouses are the heart of the Pakravan-Papi holiday farm. The farmhouses were built in 1746 at the behest of Marquis Carlo Ginori – well-known for establishing the Doccia porcelain manufacture – for accommodating the farmers employed in the northern Maremma’s land reclamation works. The two well-proportioned farmhouses dominate the hilltop just 7 km away from the sea shore. The view from the hill is breathtaking and takes in 20 km of Tuscan coast, the Tuscan archipelago islands and far in the background the Island of Corsica, all at a glance. All around, the gaze rests on a pristine landscape and wanders over Mediterranean maquis, olive groves, vineyards and medieval towns.

This is our concept of holiday, a carefree time in the comfort of independent apartments with common areas and services. From the Pakravan-Papi holiday farm one can also drive to the main art cities: Volterra and Pisa are within 40 minutes driving distance; Siena and Florence are within one and a half driving distance.
Pisa Airport
Pisa International Airport is only 40 minutes away by car and 1 hour away by train.
Motorway
The entrance to the A12 motorway “Cecina Nord” is within 10 minutes driving distance.
Beautiful location very close to the sea (btw visible from the location) as well as to Cecina, therefore convenient for services, recreation and shopping needs. The apartments are charming and well-equipped converted buildings, restored with taste and care in respect of their historical authenticity. The Estate features a tennis court, a swimming pool in a lovely location, a children playground, a barbecue area and a covered patio with sofas and tables and with a mini wooden cottage with coffee machine and fridge, all free of charge. The owner, Ms Papi, is very kind and makes you feel comfortable immediately. As a welcome, we even found a full “survival kit” so that we didn’t need to rush to do the shopping: something not to be taken for granted and not a small thing indeed. We were even offered two bottles of wine of excellent quality produced in the very farm. In a word, a small Heaven on Earth in Tuscany’s land.
