The “terroir” of the lower Cecina valley has become famous for the quality of its Cabernets. In this area Cabernet has a more strength and complexity than in its country of origin, though it retains the aromatic freshness typical of the Cabernets in Bordeaux

The vineyards producing Cancellaia are embedded on soils of igneous rocks of great minerality. The density is limited to 5,500 units/hectare to allow a lesser concentration of the pulp and maintain a good balance between freshness and complexity

Cancellaia conveys aromas of ripe fruit, with fresh notes of green pepper and mint, plum and red fruit, well integrated by a spicy and balsamic undertone.
